Fluorine‐Free Ionic Liquid Electrolytes Featuring Biomass‐Derived Heterocyclic Anions for Variable Temperature Supercapacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study introduces two new fluorine‐free ionic liquids (ILs) produced by coupling biomass‐derived heterocyclic anions, i.e., THP and 3‐FuA, with P4444 cation. Both the ILs display enhanced capacitance with increasing temperature, underscoring their potential as fluorine‐free electrolytes for supercapacitors.

InSAR Ground Deformation and Pumping Energy Consumption Reveal Urban Water Security

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Water resource assessments are critical for ensuring water security (WS), particularly in rapidly urbanizing regions with increasing water demand and limited water monitoring capabilities. Earth observations and indirect indicators of surface and groundwater changes are valuable tools for developing such assessments.

Systematic Evaluation of Li3PO4 Coatings on LNMO for Enhanced Cycling Stability using NMR‐Based Interfacial Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 24, December 22, 2025.
This study evaluates three Li3PO4 coating methods (precipitation, sol‐gel and dry sol‐gel) for enhancing the cycling stability of LiMn1.5Ni0.5O4 high‐voltage cathodes. We introduce a coating assesment methodology using solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance, X‐ray diffraction, and electrochemical testing to assess coating quality.
