Effect of Riboflavin Deficiency on Endochondral Ossification of Mice.
Summary and ConclusionsIn growing mice, riboflavin deficiency decreases both the rate of growth and of ossification, but intensifies the degeneration of the cartilage. These changes represent the histological basis for the inhibition of lengthwise growth seen in riboflavin-deficient animals.

Trabecular bone ontogeny of the human talus
Abstract Studies of trabecular ontogeny may provide insight into the factors that drive healthy bone development. There is a growing understanding of how the juvenile skeleton responds to these influences; however, gaps in our knowledge remain. This study aims to identify ontogenetic trabecular patterns and regional changes during development within ...

Airway Involvement in Conradi–Hünermann–Happle Syndrome: A Novel Clinical Manifestation
We report the first documented case of airway involvement in Conradi–Hünermann–Happle syndrome (CDPX2), an X‐linked dominant form of chondrodysplasia punctata caused by pathogenic variants in EBP. A 2‐month‐old female with genetically confirmed CDPX2 developed severe subglottic stenosis and persistent respiratory distress requiring CPAP; cross ...

Interface between intramembranous and endochondral ossification in human foetuses
In the head and neck of human mid-term foetuses, the interface between areas of endochondral ossification and adjacent membranous (intramembranous) ossification is extensive.

Mapping the murine TMJ glenoid fossa over development, homeostasis and in response to disease
The fibrocartilage of the murine glenoid fossa and condyle of the temporomandibular joint are shown to form at distinct times with distinct molecular identities. Changes in the condyle during disease lead to remodelling of the fossa to maintain joint alignment.

Recapitulating Endochondral Ossification for Bone Repair: From Development to Engineering Strategy
This review summarizes the developmental basis of endochondral ossification (ECO) and its applications in bone tissue engineering (BTE). It first outlines the key biological processes and signaling pathways underlying ECO, then discusses biomaterial‐based engineering strategies derived from these principles, and finally highlights future directions for

Zonated osteochondral assembloid implants are engineered through scaffold‐free spatial assembly of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)‐derived chondrocyte organoids and periosteum‐derived osteogenic organoids. Implanted into full‐thickness rat osteochondral defects, they promote hyaline‐like cartilage repair, support subchondral bone formation with ...
