Tryptophan Metabolite Indole‐3‐Aldehyde Induces AhR and c‐MYC Degradation to Promote Tumor Immunogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 36, September 25, 2025.
Tryptophan metabolite Indole‐3‐aldehyde (I3A) downregulates cytosolic AhR and p‐ERK/c‐MYC proteins, together enhancing STAT3 phosphorylation and tumor immunogenicity. Overexpression of the Trp metabolic enzyme interleukin‐4‐induced gene‐1 (IL4I1) in tumor cells increases intracellular levels of I3A and enhances tumor immunogenicity.

Dual Role of Natural Killer Cells in Early Pregnancy: Immunopathological Implications and Therapeutic Potential in Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion and Recurrent Implantation Failure

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 58, Issue 9, September 2025.
This article elaborates on the role of NK cells in early pregnancy from multiple perspectives, including molecular mechanisms and therapeutic interventions. It also discusses how NK cell dysfunction contributes to RSA and RIF, aiming to provide insights for future research on NK cell mechanisms and clinical treatment of RSA and RIF.

Association Study of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms of Endoplasmic Reticulum Aminopeptidase 1 and 2 Genes in Iranian Women with Preeclampsia

open access: yesIranian Journal of Public Health, 2019
Background: Endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidases 1 and 2 (ERAP1 and 2) are involved in blood pressure regulation and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of these genes have been linked to preeclampsia. This study intended to assess the association of

Epistatic interaction of ERAP1 and HLA-B in Behçet disease: a replication study in the Spanish population.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Behçet's disease (BD) is a multifactorial disorder associated with the HLA region. Recently, the ERAP1 gene has been proposed as a susceptibility locus with a recessive model and with epistatic interaction with HLA-B51.

ERAP1 polymorphisms interactions and their association with Behçet's disease susceptibly: Application of Model-Based Multifactor Dimension Reduction Algorithm (MB-MDR).

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
BACKGROUND:Behçet's disease (BD) is a chronic multi-systemic vasculitis with a considerable prevalence in Asian countries. There are many genes associated with a higher risk of developing BD, one of which is endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase-1 (ERAP1).

Conformational dynamics linked to domain closure and substrate binding explain the ERAP1 allosteric regulation mechanism

open access: yes, 2022
The endoplasmic-reticulum aminopeptidase ERAP1 processes antigenic peptides for loading on MHC-I proteins and recognition by CD8 T cells as they survey the body for infection and malignancy. Crystal structures have revealed ERAP1 in either open or closed

Association between IL23R and ERAP1 polymorphisms and sacroiliac or spinal MRI inflammation in spondyloarthritis: DESIR cohort data

open access: yesArthritis Research & Therapy, 2019
Background To investigate the association between 12 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located on ERAP1 and IL23R with the presence of inflammation on the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) or spinal magnetic resonance imagery (MRI) in an early onset ...

Association of ERAP1 Gene Polymorphisms With Behcet's Disease in Han Chinese

open access: yes, 2015
PURPOSE. Behcet's disease (BD) is a common uveitis entity in China. The endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1), has a significant influence on the stability and immunological properties of MHC-I loaded peptides.
