Fatty acid composition of Mediterranean buffalo milk fat
The purpose of this research was to investigate the variation in fatty acid composition of milk fat from four buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) herds under different feeding management and ration composition. Changes in milk fatty acid composition were monitored

Detailed dimethylacetal and fatty acid composition of rumen content from lambs fed lucerne or concentrate supplemented with soybean oil. [PDF]
Lipid metabolism in the rumen is responsible for the complex fatty acid profile of rumen outflow compared with the dietary fatty acid composition, contributing to the lipid profile of ruminant products.

Process intensification for the production of the ethyl esters of volatile fatty acids using aluminium chloride hexahydrate as a catalyst [PDF]
A new process for obtaining the ethyl esters of volatile fatty acids with ethanol by using aluminium chloride hexahydrate as a catalyst is proposed. Aluminium chloride not only exhibits good activity, composition equilibrium is achieved within 4 hours at 343 K, but also induces a phase separation with a convenient distribution of the components.

Fatty Acids and Proximate Composition of Beebread
Palynological spectrum, proximate and fatty acid (FA) composition of eight bee bread samples of different botanical origins were examined and significant variations were observed. The samples were all identified as monofloral, namely Castanea sativa (94.4%), Trifolium spp. (85.6%), Gossypium hirsutum (66.2%), Citrus spp.

Theoretical Study on the Potential Existing Forms and Microwave Rotational Spectrum of Short-Chain Fatty Acids in Interstellar Space [PDF]
Several short-chain fatty acids and their corresponding potential existing hydrated forms are important molecules in interstellar space. Their structures were optimized with twelve different computational methods. The dipole moments and the spectral constants, including rotational constants and centrifugal distortion constants were obtained.

Fatty Acid Composition of Forages and Their Effect on the Fatty Acid Composition in Beef Cattle
This study focused on how diet changes the rumen microbiome in the cattle and the effects of that on the long chain fatty acids (LCFA) by microbes in the rumen, and on the short chain fatty acids (SCFA) these microbes produce from feed carbohydrates like fiber and starch.

The fatty acid composition of basidiomycetes [PDF]
Abstract The fatty acid compositions of a number of basidiomycetc fungi have been determined. Linoleic acid was the major component of the lipids of all fungi examined, and palmitic and oleic acids formed minor though significant components; linole nic acid was invariably present. In those fungi where it was possible to separately analyse the lipids of

Elemental, fatty acid, and protein composition of appendicoliths [PDF]
AbstractAppendicoliths are commonly found obstructing the lumen of the appendix at the time of appendectomy. To identify factors that might contribute to their formation we investigated the composition of appendicoliths using laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy, gas chromatography, polarized light microscopy, X-ray ...

The control of fatty acid composition in glycerolipids [PDF]
AbstractThe continued suggestion that the ratio of saturated to unsaturated acids in the diet can influence the general health of a mammal is still not easily explained at a biochemical level. Studies on the metabolism of glycerophosphatides show that the enzymes involved appear to differ in the degree of selectivity toward substrates with different ...
