ABSTRACT Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a significant global health challenge. While the dynamic interplay between viral replication and host immune responses determines infection outcomes, the mechanisms driving the resolution of acute infection versus the emergence of chronicity remain incompletely understood.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic delta hepatitis represents a major health burden. Until recently, pegylated interferon‐alfa‐2a (PEG‐IFNα) therapy was the only treatment option for patients infected with hepatitis D virus (HDV). The aim of this study was to evaluate 10‐year long‐term clinical and virological outcomes after 96 weeks of treatment with PEG ...

Evolution of hepatitis B virus liver disease after hepatic replacement. Practical and theoretical considerations [PDF]
The morphologic evolution of hepatitis B virus (HBV) liver disease in 45 hepatic allograft recipients who were HBV surface-antigen positive (HBs-Ag+) at the time of liver replacement and who survived for more than 60 days was studied by routine ...

HBsAg in Cord Blood Qf Newborns of HBsAg-Positive Mothers
Vertical transmission of hepatitis B infection that may occur during pregnancy at delivery-, in infancy, and early childhood has an important role in the development of chronic hepatitis B. Intrauterine infection is suspected to occur when hepatitis B viruses cross the placenta into fetal circulation due to failure of placental tissue function.

This study evaluated the performance of the PAGE‐B score in HCC risk among CHB patients with metabolic dysfunction or MASLD. The PAGE‐B score effectively stratified HCC risk in both MASLD and non‐MASLD patients, especially in those without cirrhosis, where low scores were linked to negligible 5‐year HCC risk. ABSTRACT Introduction Metabolic dysfunction

Erişkin HBsAg Pozitif Hastalarda Hepatit A Seroprevalansı
Amaç: Hepatit A virüs HAV nadiren fulminan hepatite neden olmakla beraber, özellikle viral hepatit kronik karaciğer hastalığı olan kişilerde görülebilen HAV ko-enfeksiyonu daha ciddi klinik tablolara neden olabilir.
