Internalized Evolutionary Inertia on Body Plan Evolution
Animal development appears to intrinsically bias phenotypic evolution, though the exact mechanism is unclear. This review discusses potential mechanisms by which animal embryogenesis limits phenotypic diversification and considers whether inherent evolutionary inertia could allow us to predict future evolutionary paths.

TDP‐43 pathology is a hallmark of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia. Peptidyl‐prolyl cis–trans isomerase A (PPIA), a foldase and chaperone protein, modulates TDP‐43 function in an acetylation‐dependent manner. Here, we show that inhibition of lysine deacetylation with vorinostat (SAHA) increases PPIA acetylation and ...

The histone chaperone Spt6 controls chromatin structure through its conserved N-terminal domain
The disassembly and reassembly of nucleosomes by histone chaperones is an essential activity during eukaryotic transcription elongation. This highly conserved process maintains chromatin integrity by transiently removing nucleosomes as barriers and then ...

The aging paradox of Cushing's syndrome: Stress without clear senescence?
Abstract Cushing's syndrome (CS), characterized by chronic endogenous hypercortisolism and disruption of the normal circadian cortisol rhythm, represents a unique human model for investigating the interplay between stress endocrinology and biological aging.

ABSTRACT Hydrogen gas (H2) effectively alleviates abiotic stress in horticultural plants. Protein S‐nitrosylation, a key post‐translational modification, serves as a critical mechanism for nitric oxide (NO) to exert its biological function under adverse conditions.
