The specificities of small molecule inhibitors of the TGF beta and BMP pathways [PDF]
Small molecule inhibitors of type 1 receptor serine threonine kinases (ALKs1-7), the mediators of TGF beta and BMP signals, have been employed extensively to assess their physiological roles in cells and organisms. While all of these inhibitors have been

Cadmium IC50 determinations on Chlorella vulgaris involving different parameters
Abstract The ecotoxicity of cadmium nitrate has been tested, at the basic trophic level, on a chlorophycea alga, Chlorella vulgaris. Several parameters of growth, under strictly defined conditions, have been selected: opacimetry at 665 nm, cell count biomass volume estimation (Coulter counter), and ATP and chlorophyll levels.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Arylmethylamino steroids as antiparasitic agents [PDF]
In search of antiparasitic agents, we here identify arylmethylamino steroids as potent compounds and characterize more than 60 derivatives. The lead compound 1o is fast acting and highly active against intraerythrocytic stages of chloroquine-sensitive ...

Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.
