Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy in Bionanotechnology: Current Advances and Future Perspectives
Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) enables the nanoscale mapping of electrostatic surface potentials. While widely applied in materials science, its use in biological systems remains emerging. This review presents recent advances in KPFM applied to biological samples and provides a critical perspective on current limitations and future directions for

The Immune Checkpoint Protein PD-L1 Regulates Ciliogenesis and Hedgehog Signaling
The primary cilium, an antenna-like sensory organelle that protrudes from the surface of most eukaryotic cell types, has become a signaling hub of growing interest given that defects in its structure and/or function are associated with human diseases and

Mitochondria move to immune synapse [PDF]
![][1] Mitochondria (white, bottom) move toward the immune synapse (right) to help prevent calcium from closing calcium channels. HOTH/NAS Arendezvous among mitochondria and the juncture between immune cells is needed to jumpstart T cells, according to results from Ariel Quintana,

Therapeutic nano‐drug delivery systems interact with cellular mitochondria in a multitude of ways. While the complexity of such interactions disrupts the mitochondrial electron transport chain and increases reactive oxygen species production, thereby contributing to nanoparticle toxicity, they also present unique theranostic opportunities in diseases ...

Overcoming CD226-related immune evasion in acute myeloid leukemia with CD38 CAR-engineered NK cells
Summary: CD226 plays a vital role in natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity, interacting with its ligands CD112 and CD155 to initiate immune synapse formation, primarily through leukocyte function-associated-1 (LFA-1). Our study examined the role of CD226

A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

Stomatin-like Protein 2 Links Mitochondria to T-Cell Receptor Signalosomes at the Immunological Synapse and Enhances T-Cell Activation [PDF]
T cell activation through the antigen receptor (TCR) requires sustained signalling from microclusters in the peripheral region of the immunological synapse (IS).
