The Calbindin-D28k binding site on inositol monophosphatase may allow inhibition independent of the lithium site of action [PDF]
Among numerous reported biochemical effects the lithium-inhibitable enzyme inositol-monophosphatase (IMPase) remains a viable target for lithium's therapeutic mechanism of action.

The effect of myo-inositol containing compounds on sperm parameters and increased fertility in men: A systematic review [PDF]
Introduction: Infertility is a global issue referring to the inability to conceive after regular unprotected sexual intercourse. Oxidative stress is among the factors which can lead to inability in sperm production and male infertility.

Chronic microinflammation in high myopia suppresses MANF in lens epithelial cells. MANF normally resides within MAMs and promotes ubiquitin‐mediated degradation of the ER Ca2+ pump SERCA2. MANF loss causes pathological SERCA2 accumulation, MAM hyperassembly, and disrupted ER‐to‐mitochondria Ca2+ transfer, leading to mitochondrial failure, oxidative ...

Inositol hexaphosphate in soils [PDF]
A method was developed for the quantitative determination of two components of soil organic phosphorus. The method involves differential elution of the compounds by dilute hydrochloric acid from a bed of the weak-base anion exchange resin De-Acidite. One

: Cobb 400, male broilers (n=4,752) were fed one of 12 diets, with 12 pens/diet and 33 birds/pen. Treatments consisted of 3 levels of phytate P (0.24, 0.345, or 0.45%) and 4 doses of phytase (0, 500, 1,000, or 2,000 phytase units (FTU)/kg).

NSUN2‐mediated m5C modification cooperates with ALYREF to stabilize and export IP3R3 mRNA, increasing IP3R3 expression and Ca2 + overload in chondrocytes. This signaling promotes mitochondrial dysfunction, NLRP3 inflammasome activation, and senescence, thereby accelerating osteoarthritis progression.

Junctate is a key element in calcium entry induced by activation of InsP3 receptors and/or calcium store depletion [PDF]
In many cell types agonist-receptor activation leads to a rapid and transient release of Ca(2+) from intracellular stores via activation of inositol 1,4,5 trisphosphate (InsP(3)) receptors (InsP(3)Rs).

The membrane‐active peptide Pep19‐2.5 reduces harmful inflammation by blocking activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome at trans‐Golgi network membranes. By targeting key membrane interactions, Pep19‐2.5 suppresses inflammatory IL‐1β production and alleviates allergic airway inflammation in mice, leading to reduced immune cell infiltration and improved ...

Inositol derivatives:evolution and functions [PDF]
Current research on inositols mainly focuses on myo-inositol (Ins) derivatives in eukaryotic cells, and in particular on the many roles of Ins phospholipids and polyphosphorylated Ins derivatives.

Subversion of Atypical Mucin Traps by a Spore‐Coat Effector Blocks Cellular Immunity in Drosophila
While the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium robertsii can evade insect humoral immunity, its subversion of cellular defenses is still elusive. We identify Eac1 as a spore‐coat protein essential for infecting drosophilids by targeting atypical mucins (Sgf1 and Sgf2), which can entrap spores in a gel matrix and thereby facilitate hemocyte encapsulation.
