Acute‐Phase Interventions After Self‐Harm for Preventing Suicide and Recurrence: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesActa Psychiatrica Scandinavica, Volume 153, Issue 6, Page 610-626, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Suicide risk is markedly elevated following presentation after self‐harm, yet the evidence base for interventions initiated in the immediate post‐presentation period has not been synthesized with specific attention to this high‐risk window. Clarifying which early interventions may reduce adverse outcomes is essential for informing

Five‐Grass‐Pollen Sublingual Immunotherapy Drops Are Efficacious and Well Tolerated in Adults: The RHAPSODY Phase III Trial

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 6, Page 2123-2132, June 2026.
The RHAPSODY multinational study investigated 26 months of continuous treatment with 5‐grass‐pollen sublingual SLIT drops in adults with moderate‐to‐severe grass‐pollen‐induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis. The primary efficacy endpoint (the average daily total combined score) showed statistically significant differences in favour of the active ...

Allergic Sensitization to Inhalant Allergens in the Upper Respiratory Tract—the B Cell Side

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 6, Page 1985-2000, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Allergic diseases are on the rise worldwide, driven by respiratory epithelial barrier dysfunction that promotes sensitization to inhalant allergens such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and fungal spores. These antigens trigger IgE‐mediated immune responses that lead to diseases such as allergic rhinitis (AR) and asthma.

A Case for Anti‐IgE Vaccination

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 6, Page 2001-2013, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Immunoglobulin E (IgE) plays a central role in allergic diseases by binding to the high‐affinity receptor FcεRI on mast cells and basophils, where allergen‐induced crosslinking triggers potent inflammatory responses. Various mechanisms by which IgE responses are generated and functionally regulated remain elusive despite many years of research.

Biphasic Effects on Allergen‐Specific Type 2 Memory B Cells Over 18 Months Sublingual Immunotherapy for House Dust Mite Allergy

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 6, Page 2172-2183, June 2026.
Rapid clinical relief of allergy symptoms during 18 months of sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) for house dust mite (HDM) is associated with increased serum IgE, IgG2, and IgG4 to Der p 1 and Der p 2. Der p 1 and Der p 2 specific Type 2 memory B cells are expanded at 4 months and 12 months of SLIT, with increased expression of CD29 and IgG4.

Intravenous Oxytocin Has no Effect on Ad Libitum Food Intake or Postprandial Plasma Glucose Concentrations in Individuals With Obesity: A Randomised, Placebo‐Controlled, Double‐Blind, Crossover Study

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 6, Page 4671-4682, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Oxytocin is expressed throughout the small intestine, suggesting a role for oxytocin in postprandial metabolism. Accordingly, single‐dose intranasal oxytocin reduces food intake and improves glucose tolerance. We investigated the effects of a continuous intravenous oxytocin infusion on ad libitum food intake, appetite sensations ...
