ABSTRACT Translating dynamic liquid‐liquid phase separation into robust solid‐state architectures remains a challenge in materials engineering. Here, we report a composition‐driven interfacial assembly strategy that couples supramolecular coacervation with metal‐phenolic coordination to engineer tunable fungicide carriers.

An injectable gelatin‐based tannic acid–iron hydrogel with mild photothermal therapy could not only induce immunogenic cell death, but also elicit ferroptosis of both tumor cells and tumor‐associated macrophages, resulting in DC maturation, T‐cell infiltration and down‐regulation of ferroptosis‐sensitive M2‐type TAMs levels.

Glucocorticoids transcriptionally activate LCN2 expression via GR nuclear translocation. Secreted LCN2 binds MMP9 to degrade skeletal muscle ECM collagen, blocks integrin‐mediated mechanotransduction, bidirectionally disrupts muscle protein homeostasis, and reveals a novel target for steroid‐induced muscle atrophy.

ABSTRACT Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is driven by ferroptosis of nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs) as a core pathological mechanism. Nucleus pulposus progenitor cells (NPPCs), exhibiting stem cell‐like properties, yield extracellular vesicles (PEVs) with high affinity for NPCs and enable targeted phenotypic regulation.

A thrombin‐functionalized copper‐polydopamine nanofiber sponge integrates rapid hemostasis, mild photothermal antibacterial therapy, stimulus‐responsive Cu2+ release, chemodynamic oxidative stress, and macrophage immunomodulation. This multifunctional dressing suppresses infection, regulates inflammation, promotes angiogenesis and re‐epithelialization,

Iron Overload and Chelation Therapy in Hemoglobinopathies
Iron overload (IOL) is highly prevalent among patients with hemoglobinopathies; both transfusion dependent thalassemia (TDT) and non-transfusion dependent thalassemia (NTDT). Whether IOL is secondary to regular transfusions like in TDT, or develops from increased intestinal absorption like in NTDT, it can cause significant morbidity and mortality.

A multiscale computational framework links single‐nanoparticle magnetoelectric behavior to tissue‐level electric field distributions, integrating experimental data from nanoparticle characterization and in vitro stimulation setups. Applied to a cortical slice configuration, the framework predicts optimal MENP concentrations and stimulation parameters ...

Lipid metabolism plays a vital role in viral infections. Here, we reveal that the lyssavirus N protein regulates GPAT4 to induce lipid droplet biogenesis, restricting CYB5R1 palmitoylation and reducing ferroptosis susceptibility to ultimately promote viral replication.

Approaches to management of beta-thalassemia intermedia
Thalassemia intermedia is a genetically diverse group of diseases that is the result of an imbalance in the production of the alpha and beta chains with ensuing chronic hemolysis, ineffective erythropoiesis, and iron overload.Resulting complications ...
