Titanocene phosphinidenes react with terminal alkynes in formal [2 + 2] cycloadditions to give unsaturated [C2PTi] metallcycles. Diphosphene complexes in combination with aryl‐substituted alkynes react similarly to provide metallacyclopentenes. Titanocene‐phosphinidene and diphosphanediide (or diphosphene) complexes Cp2Ti(PMe3)PMesTer and Cp2Ti(P2Ar2) (

Crystal structure of heptakis(2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide-κC)vanadium(I) iodide
The title salt, [V(C9H9N)7]+I− or [V(CNXyl)7]+I− (Xyl is 2,6-dimethylphenyl), crystallized from tetrahydrofuran at low temperatures after reacting (Et4N)+[V(CO)6]−, excess of CNXyl and iodine. The complex cation and the two crystallographically different

Ruthenium-Based Heterocyclic Carbene-Coordinated Olefin Metathesis Catalysts [PDF]
The fascinating story of olefin (or alkene) metathesis (eq 1) began almost five decades ago, when Anderson and Merckling reported the first carbon-carbon double-bond rearrangement reaction in the titanium-catalyzed polymerization of norbornene.

Partial Sigma Covalent Bonding in Transition Metals
This study demonstrates partial σ‐covalent bonding is a general electronic phenomenon spanning main‐group biradicals and d8–d8 transition‐metal systems (Co, Rh, Ir). The analyses in this study reveal that ligand field (Dimen and Lantern organic frameworks) and orbital symmetry govern metal–metal interactions, with different bonding expressions ...

A Molybdenum(0) Isocyanide Analogue of [Ru(2,2'-Bipyridine)3]2+: Strong Reductant for Photoredox Catalysis [PDF]
We report the first homoleptic Mo0 complex with bidentate isocyanide ligands, which exhibits metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3MLCT) luminescence with quantum yields and lifetimes similar to Ru(bpy)32+ (bpy=2,2′-bipyridine).

Silver(I) triflate-catalyzed protocol for the post-ugi synthesis of spiroindolines
A silver(I) triflate-catalyzed protocol for the post-Ugi synthesis of tetracyclic spiroindolines has been developed. The protocol worked best for indole-3-carbaldehyde-derived Ugi adducts obtained using anilines and 3-aryl propiolic acids.

(C^Npz^C)AuIII complexes of acyclic carbene ligands: synthesis and anticancer properties [PDF]
A series of cyclometallated gold(III) complexes supported by pyrazine-based (C^Npz^C)-type pincer ligands were synthesized via two different pathways. Nucleophilic attack on the isocyanide complex [(C^Npz^C)Au(C≡NC6H3Me2-2,6)]SbF6 (2) gave [(C^Npz^C)Au ...
