C60 Fullerene as the Active Site for CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 39, September 22, 2025.
We reveal a striking finding: Fullerene (C60), beyond its classical role as an electron buffer, can directly serve as a molecular active site for CO₂ reduction. Through data mining, ab initio simulations, and pH–field coupled microkinetics, we uncover that C60’s unique curvature induces strong dipole responses, stabilizing COOH* intermediates and ...

A Missing Partner Model With 24-plet Breaking SU(5)

open access: yes, 2012
We give a missing partner model using 24-plet instead of 75-plet to break the SU(5) symmetry. Fermion masses and mixing are generated through the Georgi-Jarlskog mechanism. The model is constructed at renormalizable level at very high energy.

Type IIA on a Compact Calabi-Yau and D=11 Supergravity Uplift of its Orientifold

open access: yes, 2003
Using the prescription of [1] for defining period integrals in the Landau-Ginsburg theory for compact Calabi-Yau's, we obtain the Picard-Fuchs equation and the Meijer basis of solutions for the compact Calabi-Yau CY_3(3,243) expressed as a degree-24 ...

Bridging Theory and Experiment: Machine Learning Potential‐Driven Insights into pH‐Dependent CO₂ Reduction on Sn‐Based Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 36, September 4, 2025.
Machine learning potential (MLP) enables large‐scale molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, uncovering dynamic surface reconstruction of SnO₂ and SnS₂ under CO₂ reduction reaction condition. The negative dipole moments upon *OCHO adsorption are the primary factors driving the leftward shift of the volcano plot.

High tin or high lead: distinctive alloying practices of the pastoral Yuhuangmiao culture in Northeast China during the first millennium BCE

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 67, Issue 4, Page 1040-1056, August 2025.
Abstract The Jundushan cemetery, located on the northern boundary of the present‐day Beijing, sits at a crucial nexus between the Yan and Taihang mountains linking northern and central China. This strategic location provides an interesting case for examining interactions between pastoralism and agriculture around the early half of the first millennium ...
