ABSTRACT Dental caries is a prevalent oral health problem that significantly reduces an individual's quality of life; although, it can be effectively managed through restorative treatments. Even in cases where the caries does not reach the pulp, released microbial products from the lesion can still penetrate the pulp chamber, potentially inducing ...

ABSTRACT Aim Reduced placental mTOR signaling is associated with intrauterine growth restriction and impaired maternal and placental metabolism. Since maternal hypothyroidism induces intrauterine growth restriction, and maternal treatment with kisspeptin‐10 (Kp10) has been shown to improve feto‐placental development in hypothyroid rats, this study ...

Decoding Human Placental Cellular and Molecular Responses to Obesity and Fetal Growth
Women with obesity often deliver large‐for‐gestational‐age (LGA) infants. Single‐nucleus RNA sequencing of term placenta reveals that hypoxia and TNF‐α signaling in syncytiotrophoblasts are featured in maternal obesity, but inflammatory signatures in Hofbauer cells and response to lipid or carbohydrate metabolism in fibroblasts are specific to LGA.

We identified 45% HFD as the optimal formulation to establish a juvenile rat model of obesity‐related precocious puberty. It elicits robust phenotypic (early vaginal opening, obesity), histological (advanced ovarian development), and endocrine (elevated HPG axis hormones) alterations, with leptin‐mediated GnRH secretion as a core mechanistic driver ...

Biological Significance of Kisspeptin–Kiss 1 Receptor Signaling in the Habenula of Teleost Species
Kisspeptin is a neuropeptide, encoded by kisspeptin 1 (KISS1)/Kiss1 gene, which primarily acts as the regulator of reproductive functions via its receptor, kisspeptin receptor (KissR) in vertebrates.

The Intersection of m6A Methylation and Immune Response in PCOS: A Bioinformatics Perspective
N6‐methyladenosine RNA methylation regulators are intricately linked with the development of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and may influence immune cell infiltration in affected individuals. This study enhances our understanding of the molecular interactions in PCOS and suggests potential biomarkers for diagnosis and targets for therapeutic ...
