THBS1+ Macrophages Exacerbate Modic Changes via SDC4‐Dependent Activation of NLRP3 Inflammasome
The illustration of THBS1+ macrophages exacerbate MCs via SDC4‐dependent activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. THBS1+ macrophage subpopulation was identified in MCs through single‐cell RNA sequencing. C. acnes and its metabolites activate THBS1 expression in macrophages via the TLR signaling pathway.

Herein we report a boron‐based pyrazole, (Borsantrazole ‐ a small molecule that selectively targets oxidative stress) that significantly increases survival, reduces weight loss, delays disease onset, and affects global protein changes in the SOD1‐G37R mouse model of ALS.

ABSTRACT Background The second‐to‐fourth digit (2D:4D) ratio is an established marker of prenatal sex hormone exposure and has been associated with various health outcomes across the lifespan. Increasing evidence suggests that developmental factors reflected by the 2D:4D ratio may contribute to susceptibility to musculoskeletal disorders, including ...

Genetic and molecular evidence linking CTSH to Alzheimer's disease pathophysiology
Abstract INTRODUCTION Lysosomal dysfunction contributes to Alzheimer's disease (AD) by impairing protein clearance and promoting neuroinflammation. Cathepsin H (CTSH), a lysosomal protease, recently emerged as a protective AD locus. We investigated how CTSH is regulated and how it influences early AD pathophysiology.
