Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus: A neglected zoonotic pathogen [PDF]
Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) is a neglected zoonotic arenavirus transmitted, primarily, by house mice (Mus musculus). In humans, LCMV infection may cause encephalitis and meningitis, or severe birth defects in embryos. In New World primates (

The involvement of epithelial cells in arenavirus-induced pathogenesis. [PDF]
Mammalian Arenaviruses are a geographically and genetically diverse family of viruses, which is separated into two sub-groups; the Old World (OW) and New World (NW) groups. Of the OW viruses, Lassa virus (LASV), found endemically in Western Africa, is an

Review of Mammarenavirus Biology and Replication
The family Arenaviridae is divided into three genera: Mammarenavirus, Reptarenavirus, and Hartmanivirus. The Mammarenaviruses contain viruses responsible for causing human hemorrhagic fever diseases including New World viruses Junin, Machupo, Guanarito, Sabia, and Chapare virus and Old World viruses Lassa, and Lujo virus.

Dynamics of Mammarenavirus Wenzhouense Acute Infection in the Rodent Rattus norvegicus
Mammarenavirus Wenzhouense (WENV) is broadly distributed in Asia, while the he dynamics process of WENV infection remains unclear. A field derived strain of WENV was used to inoculate Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats by intramuscular injection, the process of virus infection was de-tected by controlling time for 28 days.
