Peripheral blood gene expression reveals an inflammatory transcriptomic signature in Friedreich's ataxia patients. [PDF]
Transcriptional changes in Friedreich's ataxia (FRDA), a rare and debilitating recessive Mendelian neurodegenerative disorder, have been studied in affected but inaccessible tissues-such as dorsal root ganglia, sensory neurons and cerebellum-in animal ...

ABSTRACT This study explored fasting‐induced physiological remodeling effects on meat quality in aged laying hens. Fasting for 15 days (F15) significantly reduced abdominal fat, intermuscular fat width, subcutaneous fat thickness, and liver index versus pre‐fasting (F0) (p < 0.05), which recovered post‐refeeding.

Natural Inhibitors of Snake Venom Metalloendopeptidases: History and Current Challenges
The research on natural snake venom metalloendopeptidase inhibitors (SVMPIs) began in the 18th century with the pioneering work of Fontana on the resistance that vipers exhibited to their own venom.

Secreted proteins as signalling molecules in Streptomyces development = Secreted proteins as signalling molecules in Streptomyces development [PDF]
A streptomycesek Gram-pozitív, micéliális növekedésű mikroorganizmusok, melyek életciklusuk során komplex morfológiai differenciálódáson mennek keresztül, s ez jellemzően spóraképzéssel fejeződik be.

Genome‐Wide In Silico Analysis of the Type VI Secretion System (T6SS) Within the Morganella Genus
▪ Species‐specific T6SS patterns among Morganella genus (M. morganii and M. sibonii). ▪ Only one‐third of M. morganii isolates haboured a T6SS. ▪ All M. sibonii possess four T6SS clusters. ▪ M. sibonii exhibited a wide diversity of effectors compared to M. morganii.
