[FeFe]-hydrogenases efficiently catalyzes hydrogen conversion at a unique [4Fe–4S]-[FeFe] cofactor, the so-called H-cluster. The catalytic reaction occurs at the diiron site, while the [4Fe–4S] cluster functions as a redox shuttle.

Herein we report a boron‐based pyrazole, (Borsantrazole ‐ a small molecule that selectively targets oxidative stress) that significantly increases survival, reduces weight loss, delays disease onset, and affects global protein changes in the SOD1‐G37R mouse model of ALS.

The diagram illustrates a sustainable model of lignin valorization and carbon cycling based on microbial cell factories. Using lignin as the feedstock, synthetic biology technologies, including depolymerization, cell factory construction, pathway gene module integration, and metabolic network regulation, are applied to convert lignin into bulk ...

The activation of a β-class carbonic anhydrase (CAs, EC 4.2.1.1) from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, encoded by the gene Rv3273 (mtCA 3), was investigated using a panel of natural and non-natural amino acids and amines. mtCA 3 was effectively activated by D-

New isoxazolidinyl-based N-alkylethanolamines as new activators of human brain carbonic anhydrases
Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are widespread metalloenzymes which catalyse the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide (CO2) to bicarbonate (HCO3−) and a proton, relevant in many physiological processes. In the last few years, the involvement of CA activation
