Despite the efforts made worldwide to reduce the number of cases of drug-susceptible tuberculosis, multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) constitutes an important public health issue. Around 440,000 new cases of MDR-TB are estimated annually, although in 2008 only 7% of these (29,423 cases) were notified.

A Dual‐Bioresponsive and Programmable Microneedle Matrix as a Bioinspired Coupler for Orchestrating Diabetic Bone Regeneration

This project developed a smart bandage‐like patch (a microneedle array) for repairing diabetic bone damage. It intelligently senses signals from infection and inflammation, then releases its medicines in a specific, timed sequence: first an antibacterial agent, then an anti‐inflammatory agent, and finally growth factors.

Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Enzymatic DNA Reaction Networks for Orchestrating Stimuli‐Dependent Temporal Molecular Pulse

We present an enzymatic DNA reaction network (EDRN) that encodes nucleic‐acid targets in time, converting inputs into a universal strand and then into programmable transient fluorescence pulses. With time‐color multiplexing, EDRN enables single‐tube high‐plex nucleic acid detection and shows strong agreement with clinical sequencing across 32 specimens.
