Nitrogen-Doped Borane Cluster Network for High-Performance Supercapacitors Under Universal pH Conditions. [PDF]

Nitrogen‐doped borane cluster network was prepared as a porous electrode material, featuring 1–2 nm micropores and specific surface area up to 626 m2 g−1. It delivers outstanding supercapacitor performance, reaching 607 F g−1 in a three‐electrode configuration and 354 F g−1 in an asymmetric supercapacitor device.

Radioiodination of Two Carborane-Based Dual Cyclooxygenase-2/5-Lipoxygenase Inhibitors and Their In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation. [PDF]

Two dicarbadodecaborane(12)‐based dual cyclooxygenase‐2/5‐lipoxygenase (COX‐2/5‐LO) inhibitors were 123I‐labeled. Refinement of labeling and formulation conditions and extensive in vitro characterization are presented. Cell uptake studies in COX‐2‐ and 5‐LO‐overexpressing cell lines showed COX‐2‐independent and partly 5‐LO‐dependent uptake.

A dianionic π‐ligand is used to make a Janus‐type twofold complex with low‐valent gallium Ga(+I). The resulting compound can be seen as and reveals the reactivity of both: a Wade‐type closo‐carborane cluster with nucleophilic Ga‐sites, as well as π‐ligand stabilized Ga(I) atoms in an inverse sandwich compound.
