Oncogenic KRAS Rewires Stress Granule Dynamics: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Opportunities
ABSTRACT Stress granules (SGs) are dynamic, membrane‐less structures that form in response to various cellular stresses, including metabolic, oxidative, and therapeutic challenges. They function as adaptive hubs and reorganize protein synthesis and signaling networks to help cells survive under stress. In cancer, these condensates are often hijacked to

Proteolysis of HCF-1 by Ser/Thr glycosylation-incompetent O-GlcNAc transferase:UDP-GlcNAc complexes [PDF]
In complex with the cosubstrate UDP-N-acetylglucosamine (UDP-GlcNAc),O-linked-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) catalyzes Ser/ThrO-GlcNAcylation of many cellular proteins and proteolysis of the transcriptional coregulator HCF-1.

ABSTRACT Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are adult stem cells able to self‐renewal or differentiation into different cell types, including chondrocytes. N‐Glycans are post‐translational modifications of glycoproteins that contribute to vital cell functions.

Lysine acetyltransferase 2A (KAT2A) is a transcriptional coactivator and a member of the Histone Acetyltransferase (HAT) family. While altered KAT2A activity has been implicated in various cancers, its role in bladder cancer (BLCA) remains poorly understood.

Centrosomes: Til O-GlcNAc Do Us Apart
The centrosome apparatus is vital for spindle assembly and chromosome segregation during mitotic divisions. Its replication, disjunction and separation have to be fine-tuned in space and time.

Nucleocytoplasmic human O-GlcNAc transferase is sufficient for O-GlcNAcylation of mitochondrial proteins [PDF]
O-linked N-acetylglucosamine modification (O-GlcNAcylation) is a nutrient-dependent protein post-translational modification (PTM), dynamically and reversibly driven by two enzymes: O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) and O-GlcNAcase (OGA) that catalyse the ...

Type III Secretion Effectors with Arginine N-Glycosyltransferase Activity [PDF]
Type III secretion systems are used by many Gram-negative bacterial pathogens to inject proteins, known as effectors, into the cytosol of host cells. These virulence factors interfere with a diverse array of host signal transduction pathways and cellular

O-GlcNAc transferase inhibitors: current tools and future challenges
The O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) post-translational modification (O-GlcNAcylation) is the dynamic and reversible attachment of N-acetylglucosamine to serine and threonine residues of nucleocytoplasmic target proteins. It is abundant in metazoa, involving hundreds of proteins linked to a plethora of biological functions with implications in ...

We identify a female patient with a homozygous nonsense variant (p.Gln38Ter) in the LYSET gene. This is the first western report of a challenging case of an extensive diagnostic odyssey and demonstrates that the LYSET gene must be considered in the differential diagnosis when M6P‐labeled lysosomal enzymes are altered.
