Oct2 enhances antibody-secreting cell differentiation through regulation of IL-5 receptor α chain expression on activated B cells [PDF]
Mice lacking a functional gene for the Oct2 transcriptional activator display several developmental and functional deficiencies in the B lymphocyte lineage. These include defective B cell receptor (BCR) and Toll-like receptor 4 signaling, an absence of B-

Molecular basis of polyspecific drug binding and transport by OCT1 and OCT2
Abstract A wide range of endogenous and xenobiotic organic ions require facilitated transport systems to cross the plasma membrane for their disposition 1, 2 . In mammals, organic cation transporter subtypes 1 and 2 (OCT1 and OCT2, also known as SLC22A1 and SLC22A2, respectively ...

Aim The purpose of this study is to evaluate safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), food‐effect (FE) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of an oral tyrosine kinase‐2 (TYK2)/Janus kinase‐1 (JAK1) inhibitor, SDC‐1801, in healthy adult participants. Methods This first‐in‐human study randomized 95 male and female participants.

Correlation between Apparent Substrate Affinity and OCT2 Transport Turnover [PDF]
Organic cation (OC) transporter 2 (OCT2) mediates the first step in the renal secretion of many cationic drugs: basolateral uptake from blood into proximal tubule cells. The impact of this process on the pharmacokinetics of drug clearance as estimated using a physiologically-based pharmacokinetic approach relies on an accurate understanding of the ...

Pregnant individuals take drugs throughout pregnancy and many of these drugs (e.g., antivirals, antibiotics) are eliminated by renal organic anion transporters (OAT) 1 and OAT3. In vivo studies with OAT1/3 substrate drugs suggest that pregnancy increases renal OAT1/3 activities by 1.5‐ to 1.8‐fold.

Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) combine the specificity of an antibody with the potency of a cytotoxic drug. Thirteen ADCs, utilizing seven unique cytotoxic payloads and targeting 11 distinct antigens, are currently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as of June 2025, representing a rapidly growing and highly promising class of anticancer ...

Regulation of normal B-cell differentiation and malignant B-cell survival by OCT2.
The requirement for the B-cell transcription factor OCT2 (octamer-binding protein 2, encoded by Pou2f2) in germinal center B cells has proved controversial.
