Mycobacterium abscessus Complex Infections Among Lung Transplant Recipients: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study in Canada

open access: yesTransplant Infectious Disease, Volume 27, Issue 3, May/June 2025.
Posttransplant Mycobacterium abscessus infection occurred in 53% of patients with pretransplant infection. While pretransplant infection itself was not associated with impaired survival, both failure to achieve microbiological eradication before transplant and persistent posttransplant disease were linked to increased mortality.

Community‐Acquired Chlamydia psittaci Severe Pneumonia: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Infectious Diseases, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Chlamydia psittaci, the causative agent of psittacosis, is an intracellular bacterium typically transmitted from birds to humans, leading to atypical pneumonia.
