Dual‐Functional 3D‐Printed Porous Titanium–Hydrogel Composite Scaffold With Mg2+ and ZIF‐8 Release for Enhanced Bone Regeneration and Bacterial Inhibition

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study developed a dual‐functional 3D‐printed porous titanium–hydrogel composite scaffold loaded with Mg2+ and zeolitic imidazolate framework‐8 (ZIF‐8) nanoparticles. The scaffold enhanced bone regeneration through the synergistic effect of Mg2+ and ZIF‐8, and inhibited bacterial growth via the synergistic action of its hydrogel matrix and ZIF‐8 ...

Meflin/ISLR is a meningeal cell‐specific marker involved in the development of meninges and meningioma progression

open access: yesBrain Pathology, Volume 36, Issue 2, March 2026.
Mesenchymal stromal cell‐and fibroblast‐expressing Linx paralogue (Meflin) is expressed in embryonic meninges and contributes to meningeal homeostasis. In meningiomas, elevated Meflin correlates with higher grade and recurrence. Single‐cell RNA sequencing revealed a Meflin‐high tumor cell subset marked by reduced proliferation, WNT6 expression, and ...

Enrichment of Neural Crest Cells by Antibody Labeling and Flow Cytometry for Single‐Cell Transcriptomics in a Lizard

open access: yesEvolution &Development, Volume 28, Issue 1, March 2026.
Using wall lizard embryos, we present an approach to isolate neural crest cells by antibody labeling and flow cytometry followed by single‐cell RNA sequencing. The approach does not require transgenic animals, and thus enables addressing evo‐devo questions across a range of vertebrate taxa.

The histology of rhynchosaur (Diapsida, Archosauromorpha) ankylothecodonty

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 248, Issue 3, Page 526-540, March 2026.
Dental evolution is a major topic in vertebrate palaeontology and provides key insights into the evolutionary history of several amniote clades. This study investigates rhynchosaur ankylothecodonty within the broader evolutionary context of Archosauromorpha.

Aging‐Driven Inter‐Organ Crosstalk in Postmenopausal Osteoporosis: From Immunometabolic Drift to Multisystem Frailty

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 4, 28 February 2026.
Postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) is increasingly recognized as an aging‐associated, multisystem state of fragility, in which estrogen deficiency exacerbates immune and metabolic drift across the bone marrow, skeletal muscle, adipose tissue, gut, vascular system, and neural circuits.
