Preparation and stability of oxidized polyamines

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1971
Abstract The products arising from the oxidation of spermidine and spermine by serum amine oxidase have been purified by ion-exchange chromatography on columns of SE-Sephadex. Oxidized spermidine, dioxidized spermine, and mono-oxidized spermine prepared by this procedure were approx.

Stabilization of Pharmaceuticals to Oxidative Degradation

Pharmaceutical Development and Technology, 2002
A guide for stabilization of pharmaceuticals to oxidation is presented. Literature is presented with an attempt to be a ready source for data and recommendations for formulators. Liquid and solid dosage forms are discussed with options including formulation changes, additives, and packaging documented. In particular, selection of and methods for use of

Stabilization of elusive silicon oxides

Nature Chemistry, 2015
Molecular SiO2 and other simple silicon oxides have remained elusive despite the indispensable use of silicon dioxide materials in advanced electronic devices. Owing to the great reactivity of silicon-oxygen double bonds, as well as the low oxidation state of silicon atoms, the chemistry of simple silicon oxides is essentially unknown.

Oxidative stability of polyaniline

Polymer Degradation and Stability, 2012
Abstract Standard globular and nanotubular polyaniline were exposed to strong oxidants, such as hydrogen peroxide or ammonium peroxydisulfate, in acidic, neutral, and alkaline aqueous media for 10 or 60 days. Even in the mixture of 30% hydrogen peroxide and concentrated sulfuric acid, polyaniline was not completely destroyed and left >30 wt.% residue.

Oxidative Stability of Fullerenes

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1994
Mixtures of fullerenes are more susceptible to oxidation than the pure phases of fullerenes. For example, a mixture of 90 wt % C[sub 60]/10 wt % C[sub 70] reacts with air at 300[degree]C for 24 h to yield a product containing 95% of the initial mass but which manifests an atomic ratio of carbon to oxygen of 2.3; in contrast, there is [le]1 wt % loss ...

Oxidative stability of DHA phenolic ester

Food Chemistry, 2015
Docosahexaenoic acid vanillyl ester (DHA-VE) was synthesized from docosahexaenoic acid ethyl ester (DHA-EE) and vanillyl alcohol by a solvent-free alcoholysis process catalysed by Candida antarctica lipase B. Oxidative stability of pure DHA-VE and the crude reaction medium consisting of 45% DHA-VE and 55% DHA-EE were compared with that of DHA-EE under ...

Oxidation and Stabilization of Rubbers

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1983
Abstract I would like to acknowledge the financial support of our research by the rubber industry, and by U.S. Army Ordnance Research, supplemented by other government agencies and the Petroleum Research Fund, ACS. I also want to emphasize that the honor of t award must be shared with all who have worked with me from the early 1940's to the ...

Stability of Ni in nitinol oxide surfaces

Acta Biomaterialia, 2011
The stability of Ni in titanium oxide surface layers on nitinol wires known to release certain amounts of Ni was investigated by first principles density functional theory and transmission electron microscopy. The oxides were identified as a combination of TiO and TiO(2) depending on the thickness of the layer.

Carbene‐Stabilized Phosphenium Oxides and Sulfides

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2012
AbstractCarbene→chalcogenophosphenium adducts, which correspond to an intermolecular stabilization mode of the so far elusive, free oxo‐ and thiooxophosphenium species [R2P+=X] (X=O, S) by imidazolylidene (NHC) and diaminocyclopropenylidene (BAC) donors, have been isolated and fully characterized.
