The regenerative potential of Pax3/Pax7 on skeletal muscle injury
Background Skeletal muscle mishaps are the most well-known incidents in society, especially among athletes and the military population. From the various urgency, this accident needs to be cured more quickly.

The transcription factor paired box-5 promotes osteoblastogenesis through direct induction of Osterix and Osteocalcin [PDF]
Abstract Although skeletal abnormalities are seen in mice deficient of particular paired box (Pax) family proteins, little attention has been paid to their role in osteoblastogenesis so far. Here, we investigated the possible involvement of several Pax family members in mechanisms underlying the regulation of differentiation and ...

ROLE OF PAX-5 TRANSCRIPTION FACTOR IN PATHOGENESIS OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA
. Expression characteristics of transcription factor PAX-5 (paired box 5) are considered for different clinical variants of bronchial asthma (BA). Low levels of PAX-5 expression may be a reason for progression into a severe allergic asthma, whereas ...

Pax7 is necessary and sufficient for the myogenic specification of CD45+:Sca1+ stem cells from injured muscle. [PDF]
CD45(+):Sca1(+) adult stem cells isolated from uninjured muscle do not display any myogenic potential, whereas those isolated from regenerating muscle give rise to myoblasts expressing the paired-box transcription factor Pax7 and the bHLH factors Myf5 ...

The DNA binding activity of the paired box transcription factor Pax‐3 is rapidly downregulated during neuronal cell differentiation [PDF]
Mutations in the murine Pax‐3 gene lead to a range of developmental abnormalities including deficiencies in sensory and sympathetic neurones. We have investigated Pax‐3 expression during neuronal differentiation and show levels of Pax‐3 DNA binding decrease upon cell cycle arrest and morphological differentiation.

The transcriptional mechanisms driving lineage specification during development are still largely unknown, as the interplay of multiple transcription factors makes it difficult to dissect these molecular events.

Identification of rare paired box 3 variant in strabismus by whole exome sequencing [PDF]
AIM: To identify the potentially pathogenic gene variants that contributes to the etiology of strabismus. METHODS: A Chinese pedigree with strabismus was collected and the exomes of two affected individuals were sequenced using the next-generation ...
