Identification of novel Pax8 targets in FRTL-5 thyroid cells by gene silencing and expression microarray analysis. [PDF]
The differentiation program of thyroid follicular cells (TFCs), by far the most abundant cell population of the thyroid gland, relies on the interplay between sequence-specific transcription factors and transcriptional coregulators with the basal ...

Significance analysis of PAX8 expression in endometrial carcinoma
To analyze the expression and prognostic value of paired-box 8 (PAX8) expression in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC) by bioinformatics. The expression of PAX8 gene in UCEC was analyzed by R language and immunohistochemistry. The correlation between PAX8 expression and clinicopathological features was analyzed by R language.

Impact of fixations on anti-genetic determinants of CD4, CD68, and Pax8 immunohistochemistry: A comparative study of NBF, Zink formalin, and Bouin's fluid [PDF]
Fixation inhibits autolysis and is an essential step in disease. Our work examined how neutral buffer NBF (NBF), zinc formalin (ZF), and Bouin's fluid (BF) affected tissue specific CD4, CD68, and Pax8 anti-genetic determinants.

50 Therapeutic opportunities in the master transcription factor circuitries of clear cell carcinomas
Objectives: Transcription factors are emerging as targets for novel therapeutics for the treatment of malignancies. We sought to evaluate functions of PAX8 and HNF1B in both clear cell ovarian cancer (CCOC) and clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) to ...

PAX8 expression in human bladder cancer
PAX8 is a transcription factor with a role in ontogenesis of the urinary tract. The aim of the present investigation was to investigate PAX8 expression in normal bladder and in non-invasive urothelial tumours. Nine cases of normal urothelial mucosa, 2 cases of papillary urothelial neoplasia of low malignant potential, 12 cases of low grade non-invasive

PAX8 expression in ovarian surface epithelial cells [PDF]
High-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC) is usually diagnosed at a late stage and is associated with poor prognosis. Understanding early stage disease biology is essential in developing clinical biomarkers to detect HGSOC earlier. While recent studies indicate that HGSOCs arise from fallopian tube secretory epithelial cells, a considerable body of ...
