Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

The herpesvirus associated ubiquitin specific protease, USP7, is a negative regulator of PML proteins and PML nuclear bodies.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
The PML tumor suppressor is the founding component of the multiprotein nuclear structures known as PML nuclear bodies (PML-NBs), which control several cellular functions including apoptosis and antiviral effects.

A Tale of Usurpation and Subversion: SUMO-Dependent Integrity of Promyelocytic Leukemia Nuclear Bodies at the Crossroad of Infection and Immunity

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, 2021
Promyelocytic leukemia nuclear bodies (PML NBs) are multi-protein assemblies representing distinct sub-nuclear structures. As phase-separated molecular condensates, PML NBs exhibit liquid droplet-like consistency.

PML isoforms in response to arsenic: high-resolution analysis of PML body structure and degradation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Arsenic is a clinically effective treatment for acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL) in which the promyelocytic leukaemia (PML) protein is fused to retinoic receptor alpha (RARα).

PMLs: A direct approach [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2011
SUMMARYThis brief article outlines a new and rather simple method for obtaining the finite element matrices for a perfectly matched layer used for elastic wave propagation in the context of a frequency‐domain formulation. For this purpose, we introduce a fairly mild simplification, which allows applying the stretching functions directly to the mass and

PEDOT‐Based Eutectogel Electrode Arrays for Enhanced High‐Resolution Electrogastrography: Fabrication, Stability, and Wearable Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we present a high‐density PEDOT eutectogel electrode array for enhanced body surface gastric mapping. Silver electrodes are blade‐coated onto flexible substrates, followed by electrogelation of PEDOT:PSS and the deposition of a PEDOT:LS eutectogel.

Crosstalk between p53 modifiers at PML bodies

open access: yesMolecular & Cellular Oncology, 2018
Tumor protein p53 (TP53, best known as p53), the most frequently mutated tumor suppressor in cancer, plays a central role in cell fate decisions induced by DNA damage.

Functional connection between Rad51 and PML in homology-directed repair. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
The promyelocytic leukemia protein (PML) is a tumor suppressor critical for formation of nuclear bodies (NBs) performing important functions in transcription, apoptosis, DNA repair and antiviral responses.

The role of numerical boundary procedures in the stability of perfectly matched layers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we address the temporal energy growth associated with numerical approximations of the perfectly matched layer (PML) for Maxwell's equations in first order form.

A new construction of perfectly matched layers for the linearized Euler equations

open access: yes, 2005
Based on a PML for the advective wave equation, we propose two PML models for the linearized Euler equations. The derivation of the first model can be applied to other physical models. The second model was implemented. Numerical results are shown.Comment:
