A tumor-restricted glycoform of podocalyxin is a highly selective marker of immunologically cold high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2023
IntroductionTargeted-immunotherapies such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADC), chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells or bispecific T-cell engagers (eg, BiTE®) all aim to improve cancer treatment by directly targeting cancer cells while sparing healthy ...

Molecular cloning and characterization of human podocalyxin-like protein. Orthologous relationship to rabbit PCLP1 and rat podocalyxin. [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of biological chemistry, 1997
Human renal cortex and heart cDNA libraries were screened for a human homolog of rabbit PCLP1 using the rabbit PCLP1 cDNA as a probe. Clones spanning 5869 base pairs with an open reading frame coding for a 528-amino acid peptide were obtained. The putative peptide contains a potential signal peptide and a single membrane-spanning region.

Podocalyxin Urine sebagai Biomarker Prediktor Nefropati Diabetik

open access: yesHealth Information : Jurnal Penelitian, 2023

Afadin orients cell division to position the tubule lumen in developing renal tubules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In many types of tubules, continuity of the lumen is paramount to tubular function, yet how tubules generate lumen continuity in vivo is not known. We recently found the F-actin binding protein Afadin is required for lumen continuity in developing renal ...

Serum podocalyxin levels in patients with obesity and carbohydrates disorders [PDF]

open access: yesPharmacia
Background: Podocalyxin is expressed not only in glomerular podocytes but also on the endothelial cell surface outside the kidney. The aim of this cross-sectional study is to evaluate the role of serum podocalyxin as an early marker for vascular injury ...

SGLT2抑制剂对糖尿病肾病患者的影响:基于尿足细胞的初步研究

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, 2022
Background The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of sodium glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) on the glomerulus through the evaluation of podocyturia in patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD). Methods The study population was

Exome sequencing and in vitro studies identified podocalyxin as a candidate gene for focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Our understanding of focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) has advanced significantly from the studies of rare, monogenic forms of the disease.

Urinary Podocalyxin and Lupus Nephritis Disease Activity [PDF]

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, 2015
Background: Lupus nephritis (LN) is a common and serious complication in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) andis associated with significant mortality and morbidity of SLE patients. The conventional laboratory markers used in clinicalpractice such as serum complement levels and double-stranded DNA antibodies are unreliable indicators of LN as they ...

Urinary Nephrin and Podocalyxin Levels as Predictors of Pre-eclampsia in High-Risk Pregnant Women [PDF]

open access: yesFolia Medica, 2021
Introduction: Pre-eclampsia (PE) is characterized by new-onset hypertension and proteinuria. Damage of podocyte cells has been reported in pre-eclamptic women, thus podocyte specific proteins such as nephrin and podocalyxin could be useful biomarkers in ...

A Compendium of Urinary Biomarkers Indicative of Glomerular Podocytopathy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
It is well known that glomerular podocyte injury and loss are present in numerous nephropathies and that the pathophysiologic consecution of disease hinges upon the fate of the podocyte.
