Antimicrobial Evaluation and Synthesis of Some Phenylpyrazolo benzothiazolo quinoxaline Derivatives

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2009
2,3-Diphenyl quinoxaline (SI) was fused with 2-amino benzothiazoles (SII) by a methylene bridge, which was then allowed for acetylation. The acetylated product (SIV) was made to react with different aromatic aldehydes to give chalcones (SV1-SV5 ...

Diazo Transfer From Nitrous Oxide Employing Phosphorus Ylides

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A phosphorus ylide‐mediated strategy achieves the direct fixation of nitrous oxide (N2O) to access diazo compounds, which after intra‐ or intermolecular trapping, afford N2‐containing organic building blocks. This approach provides an alternative to hazardous diazo‐transfer reagents and establishes N2O fixation as a sustainable methodology.

An electron-deficient triosmium cluster containing the thianthrene ligand: Synthesis, structure and reactivity of [Os₃(CO)₉(μ3-η2-C₁₂H₇S₂)(μ-H)] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Reaction of [Os₃(CO)₁₀(CH₃CN)₂] with thianthrene at 80 °C leads to the nonacarbonyl dihydride compound [Os₃(CO)₉(μ-3,4-η²-C₁₂H₆S₂)(μ-H)₂] (1) and the 46-electron monohydride compound [Os₃(CO)₉(μ₃-η²-C₁₂H₇S₂)(μ-H)] (2).

Synthesis of Some Phenylpyrazolo Benzimidazolo Quinoxaline Derivatives as Potent Antihistaminic Agents

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2010
2,3-Diphenyl quinoxaline (NI) was fused with benzimidazole (NII) by a methylene bridge, which was then allowed for acetylation. The acetylated product (NIV) was made to react with different aromatic aldehydes to give chalcones (NV1-NV5).
