A T cell clone expresses two T cell receptor α genes but uses one αβ heterodimer for allorecognition and self MHC-restricted antigen recognition

Cell, 1988
All of the T cell receptor alpha- and beta-chain rearrangements present in a dual reactive T cell clone were characterized. This clone exhibits allelic exclusion of its beta-chain genes in that only one of the two alleles is productively rearranged. Unexpectedly, it displays two productive V alpha-gene rearrangements, which are both transcribed into 1 ...

Identification of a novel T cell surface disulfide-bonded dimer distinct from the alpha/beta antigen receptor.

The Journal of Immunology, 1987
Abstract Hybridomas were prepared from the spleen of a BALB/c mouse immunized with EL-4 T lymphoma cells. One, designated A1, was found to secrete a monoclonal antibody that reacted with two T lymphoma cells of C57BL origin, EL-4 and C6VLB, but not with normal C57BL/6 splenocytes or thymocytes, C57BL/6 T cell clones, or other T or B ...

Monoclonal antibodies to CD6 preferentially stimulate T-cell clones with gamma/delta rather than alpha/beta antigen receptors.

Human immunology, 1991
CD6 is a pan-T-cell structure about which very little is known, although certain CD6 monoclonal antibodies have been reported to be mitogenic for T cells. Using a heterogeneous collection of human T-cell clones, we now show that CD6-responders were contained exclusively within the gamma/delta-receptor+ group.

Human cord blood T-cell receptor alpha beta cell responses to protein antigens of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis yeast forms.

Immunology, 1995
Paracoccidioides brasiliensis causes a chronic granulomatous mycosis, prevalent in South America, and cell-mediated immunity represents the principal mode of protection against this fungal infection. We investigated the response of naive cord blood T cells to P. brasiliensis lysates. Our results show: (1) P.

Analysis of T-cell receptor alpha beta chains of CD8+ suppressor T cells induced by tolerogenic conjugates of antigen and monomethoxypolyethylene glycol. Involvement of TCR alpha-CDR3 domain in immunosuppression.

Journal of immunology (Baltimore, Md. : 1950), 1993
A number of investigators have demonstrated that there exists a relationship between Ag receptors of Ts cells (TCR) and their soluble suppressor factors. With a view to elucidating this relationship, the primary structures of receptors of Ts cells, induced in mice by tolerogenic conjugates of Ag and monomethoxypolyethylene glycol, were characterized in

T cell receptor (TCR) for antigen: A comparative study between the TCR alpha/beta and TCR gamma/delta subsets in noninfected and HIV infected individuals.

2009
HIV infection is associated with characteristic quantitative changes in T-lymphocyte subsets: progressive depletion of the CD4$\sp{+}$ T-lymphocytes and an increased number of the CD8$\sp{+}$ T-lymphocyte. In this study, I report the results of a flow cytometric analysis of the expression of CD3, CD4, CD8, TCR$\alpha$/$\beta$, and TCR$\gamma$/$\delta ...
