Iron Fertilization of Soybean Genotypes Differing in Iron Use Efficiency Under Alkaline Conditions: Implications for Yield and Seed Nutritional Quality

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Soybean, a nutritionally important protein‐ and oil‐rich legume, is highly sensitive to iron (Fe) deficiency under alkaline conditions, where reduced Fe availability limits growth, yield, and seed quality. Effective biofortification therefore requires increasing seed Fe while reducing phytate that restricts Fe bioavailability.

Changes in phenolic profile, physicochemical properties and sensory attributes of steamed bread fortified with golden kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) flour during processing

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Chinese steamed bread (CSB) is a traditional East Asian staple. Its texture and nutrition depend on the gluten and starch content of the wheat flour that it contains. Treatment of cotton with plant growth‐promoting rhizobacteria consortium alters host location and oviposition of Spodoptera exigua

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Two plant‐growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) consortia (AU8 and TX1) induced a deterrence of host plant location and oviposition behavior of Spodoptera exigua females in both susceptible and resistant cotton plants. Most of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) increased in PGPR‐treated plants compared to untreated plants. # indicates treatments not
