DigiChrom: A Domain Ontology for Semantic Representation of Trivalent Chromium Platings and Its Large Language Model‐Based Alignment With Multiple Mid‐Level Ontologies

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

The Influence of Field‐Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) Temperature and Cooling Rate on the Microstructural Evolution in Gamma‐Titanium Aluminide Alloy GE4822

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the Field Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) parameters, dwell temperature and cooling rate, significantly influences the microstructural evolution in titanium aluminide GE4822. Significant γ‐lamellar colonies develop only upon cooling through the α‐transus.

Insertion of Ag Layer in TiN/SiNx/TiN RRAM and Its Effect on Filament Formation Modeled by Monte Carlo Simulation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this study, the electrical characteristics of TiN/SiNx/TiN and TiN/Ag/SiNx/TiN RRAMs were thoroughly investigated through I-V measurements. Our novel Ag-inserted silicon nitride-based resistive switching memory (RRAM) achieved switching operation at ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Tamper-sensitive pre-formed ReRAM-based PUFs: Methods and experimental validation

open access: yesFrontiers in Nanotechnology, 2022
In this paper, we present the characterization of pre-formed resistive random access memories to design physical unclonable functions and experimentally validate inherent properties such as tamper sensitivity and a self-destroy mode.

Ferroelectricity in Antiferromagnetic Wurtzite Nitrides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We establish MnSiN2${\rm MnSiN}_2$ and MnGeN2${\rm MnGeN}_2$ as aristotypes of a new multiferroic wurtzite family that simultaneously exhibits ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with altermagnetic spin splitting. By strategically substituting alkaline‐earth metals, we predict new materials with coexisting switchable polarization, spin texture, and

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Design and Preparation of Light-Weight Radar Absorbing Material Based on Resistive Frequency Selective Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Light-weight radar absorbing material (RAM) based on resistive frequency selective surfaces (FSS) was designed and prepared. The principle of the resonances of the RAM was analyzed by calculating the impedance of the FSS and the grounded substrate ...
