Pathogenic Variants in HEPACAM Alter Protein Localization and Interactome in Astrocytes of the Developing Mouse Cortex

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 11, November 2026.
Pathogenic variants alter hepaCAM protein distribution. Astrocyte‐specific hepaCAM TurboID reveals KCNQ2 as a new interaction partner. Pathogenic variants alter hepaCAM association with key transmembrane proteins. ABSTRACT Megalencephalic leukoencephalopathy with subcortical cysts (MLC) is a rare leukodystrophy characterized by early‐onset macrocephaly,

CX3CR1 Modulates Migration of Resident Microglia Towards Cortical Laser‐Induced Lesions

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 10, October 2026.
CX3CR1 deficiency promotes microglial migration toward CNS injury. Proteomic profiling reveals altered RHO‐mediated cytoskeletal signaling, while in vivo two‐photon imaging demonstrates increased process extension, velocity, and accumulation of Cx3cr1‐deficient microglia at lesion sites. ABSTRACT Microglia are innate immune cells of the central nervous

The histone deacetylase inhibitor, suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid, restores blood–brain barrier integrity in a human stem cell‐based model of ischaemic stroke

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 19, Page 5791-5812, October 2026.
Ischaemic stroke is characterised by acute cerebrovascular occlusion and blood–brain barrier (BBB) breakdown. Our results indicated that the histone deacetylase inhibitor suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) ameliorated the loss of BBB integrity, changed the morphology of brain endothelial cells, increased the level of basement membrane and ...

An Integrated Proteomics and Genomics Approach to Identify Essential Protein Kinases During Human Trophoblast Development

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 17, 15 September 2026.
Integrated quantitative proteomic, phosphoproteomic, and transcriptomic analyses of human trophoblast stem cells identify stage‐specific kinase signaling networks that regulate trophoblast self‐renewal and differentiation into syncytiotrophoblasts and extravillous trophoblasts.

Differential expression of TKS4 isoforms and their role in cellular processes in breast cancer

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 3, September 2026.
TKS4 isoforms are differentially expressed across human cell lines. TKS4L interacts with six novel SRC homology 3‐containing proteins, whereas no interactions were detected for TKS4b. SRC‐mediated phosphorylation promotes interactions of TKS4 with SH2 domains.
