La mora es una fruta de alta demanda para consumo en fresco y uso agroindustrial, debido a su exquisito sabor, sus multiples usos y sus cualidades biofuncionales. En Colombia, este cultivo es muy dinamico: en los ultimos 10 anos, el area sembrada se incremento en un 12 % y su produccion aumento el 24 %.
