Ameliorative Effects of Azaindolizinone Derivative ZSET845 on Scopolamine-Induced Deficits in Passive Avoidance and Radial-Arm Maze Learning in the Rat

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Pharmacology, 2001
Effects of ZSET845 (3,3-dibenzylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-2-(3H)-one), a newly synthesized cognitive enhancer, and donepezil and tacrine on the scopolamine-induced cognitive deficits in rats were examined in passive avoidance and radial-arm maze tasks. ZSET845 (0.01 mg/kg) showed a greater ameliorative effect than donepezil (0.1 mg/kg) or tacrine (1 mg/kg)

Molecular mechanism study on the contribution of open-fire flue-curing technology to tobacco leaf aroma

open access: yesChemical and Biological Technologies in Agriculture
This study compared the effects of open-fire flue-curing and conventional curing methods on the aroma and chemical composition of K326 tobacco leaves, aiming to reveal the molecular mechanisms of aroma formation during open-fire flue-curing.

Protective Role of Ashwagandha Leaf Extract and Its Component Withanone on Scopolamine-Induced Changes in the Brain and Brain-Derived Cells

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
Scopolamine is a well-known cholinergic antagonist that causes amnesia in human and animal models. Scopolamine-induced amnesia in rodent models has been widely used to understand the molecular, biochemical, behavioral changes, and to delineate therapeutic targets of memory impairment. Although this has been linked to the decrease in central cholinergic
