Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

MASLD does not affect fertility and senolytics fail to prevent MASLD progression in male mice
Senescent cells have been linked to the pathogenesis of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). However, the effectiveness of senolytic drugs in reducing liver damage in mice with MASLD is not clear. Additionally, MASLD has been

Cellular Senescence in Aging Lungs and Diseases [PDF]
Cellular senescence represents a state of irreversible cell cycle arrest occurring naturally or in response to exogenous stressors. Following the initial arrest, progressive phenotypic changes define conditions of cellular senescence.

This work identifies M1 macrophage‐mediated inflammation as a key driver of BMSC senescence and bone microstructural deterioration at the enthesis. A tissue‐adhesive hydrogel delivering senomorphic small extracellular vesicles suppresses this inflammatory‐senescent cascade and enhances BMSC resilience by inhibiting the cGAS‐STING‐NF‐κB pathway.

Large‐Scale Machine Learning to Screen for Small‐Molecule Senolytics
A consistent workflow underpins all experiments in this study. A dedicated model‐selection dataset first identifies optimal hyperparameters for each algorithm. Models are then trained and rigorously evaluated on independent sets of molecules using the senolytic ratio SR. Comprehensive hyperparameter exploration across SMILES representations, task types,

Senotherapeutic Effect of Retinaldehyde and Hyaluronate Fragments in Dermatoporosis
Cellular senescence is one of the important mechanisms of skin aging. In a recent study, we have shown that in patients with dermatoporosis, an extreme senescence condition of the skin, cells positive for p16Ink4a, a biomarker of senescence, were ...

Systemic aging fuels heart failure: Molecular mechanisms and therapeutic avenues
Abstract Systemic aging influences various physiological processes and contributes to structural and functional decline in cardiac tissue. These alterations include an increased incidence of left ventricular hypertrophy, a decline in left ventricular diastolic function, left atrial dilation, atrial fibrillation, myocardial fibrosis and cardiac ...
