Molecular cloning of a seed specific multifunctional RFO synthase/ galactosylhydrolase in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2015
Stachyose is among the raffinose family oligosaccharides one of the major water-soluble carbohydrates next to sucrose in seeds of a number of plant species. Especially in leguminous seeds, e.g. chickpea, stachyose is reported as the major component.

Stachyose Content and Recovery of Stachyose from Shajuku-eki during Azuki paste manufacturing

open access: yesNippon Shokuhin Kagaku Kogaku Kaishi, 2008

Breeding of Black Soybean with Green Cotyledon and Four Recessive Alleles for Lipoxygenase, Kunitz Trypsin Inhibitor, Lectin, and Stachyose

open access: yesAgronomy, 2021
Anthocyanins from the black soybean seed coat are known to have many pharmaceutical effects. However, black soybean seed contains antinutritional factors such as lipoxygenase, Kunitz trypsin inhibitor (KTI), lectin, and stachyose.

Galactooligosaccharides of seeds during growth of Phaseolus coccineus L. and Phaseolus vulgaris L. beans

open access: yesActa Agrobotanica, 2013
The quantitative changes of raffinose and stachyose in seeds of Phaseolus coccineus L. and Phaseolus vulgaris L. during their growth and maturation in a two year experiment were investigated. Trace amounts of raffinose were found in Ph.

New sources of soybean seed meal and oil composition traits identified through TILLING [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Background Several techniques are available to study gene function, but many are less than ideal for soybean. Reverse genetics, a relatively new approach, can be utilized to identify novel mutations in candidate genes; this technique has not produced an ...
