The TATA-box motif and its impact on transcriptional gene regulation by miRNAs
Emerging evidence suggests that components of the small RNAs pathway interact with chromatin to regulate nuclear events, such as gene transcription. However, it has recently been reported that in some cases, gene transcription regulation by cellular ...

How global DNA unwinding causes non-uniform stress distribution and melting of DNA.
DNA unwinding is an important process that controls binding of proteins, gene expression and melting of double-stranded DNA. In a series of all-atom MD simulations on two DNA molecules containing a transcription start TATA-box sequence we demonstrate ...

A core promoter element downstream of the TATA box that is recognized by TFIIB
We have defined a core promoter element downstream of the TATA box that is recognized by TFIIB. This involves a DNA-binding domain in TFIIB that is distinct from the helix-turn-helix motif (which recognizes an element upstream of the TATA box). The TFIIB

Digital Technology's Role in Circular Waste Management: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Combining circular economy ideas with digital tools offers a game‐changing way to tackle global sustainability problems. This paper focuses on how digital changes and circular economy models link up. A review has been conducted for 112 articles from 2021 to September 2025, using PRISMA‐2020 methodology. This study covered new tech like AI, IoT,

Abstract Background The promoters and enhancers of heat shock genes, such as the 1.5‐kb promoter of the zebrafish hsp70l gene, are valuable tools for temporal activation of transgenes. It has been widely purported that heat shock treatments result in ubiquitous expression of hsp70l‐driven transgenes.

Dynamics of TBP binding to the TATA box [PDF]
Gene expression is highly controlled and regulated in living cells. One of the first steps in gene transcription is recognition of the promoter site by the TATA box Binding Protein (TBP). TBP recruits other transcriptions factors and eventually the RNA polymerase II to transcribe the DNA in mRNA.

TATA-box motif targeted siRNAs activate the promoter activities of 16 genes.
(A) Schematic diagram for designing siRNAs that target the TATA-box motif. The consensus sequence of TATA-box motif was highlighted. SiRNAs targeting the TATA-box-centered position (CEN), siRNAs targeting the positions in upstream (UP) or downstream (DN)

This study developed a PCR‐based fragment analysis assay for UGT1A1 rs3064744 targeting TA5 (*36), TA6 (*1), TA7 (*28), and TA8 (*37). The assay was CLIA validated with data showing 100% concordance and a sensitivity of 0.5 ng/uL. The assay was then implemented in a patient cohort of n = 940 and the results compared with PharmacoScan.
