Insertion/deletion-related polymorphisms in the human T cell receptor beta gene complex. [PDF]
Insertion/deletion related polymorphisms (IDRP) involving stretches of 15-30 kb within the human TCR-beta gene complex were revealed by pulse-field gel electrophoresis.

Reorientation of Spin Density Waves in Cr(001) Films induced by Fe(001) Cap Layers
Proximity effects of 20 \AA thin Fe layers on the spin density waves (SDWs) in epitaxial Cr(001) films are revealed by neutron scattering. Unlike in bulk Cr we observe a SDW with its wave vector Q pointing along only one {100} direction which depends ...

This study identifies the transcription factor ETV1 as a key driver of CD4⁺ T cell‐mediated intestinal inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). ETV1 promotes CD4⁺ T cell activation, proliferation, and Th17 differentiation by activating the amino acid transporter SLC7A5, fueling metabolic reprogramming.

The Testosterone: Cortisol Ratio - A Tool with Practical Use and Research Potential in Endocrinology
Testosterone is a predominantly anabolic hormone whereas cortisol is a catabolic hormone. Measurement of testosterone-cortisol ratio (TCR) can serve as a surrogate for the balance in the anabolic: catabolic states in the body and was studied as a marker ...

The mutational status of p53 can influence its recognition by human T-cells
p53 was reported to be an attractive immunotherapy target because it is mutated in approximately half of human cancers, resulting in its inactivation and often accumulation in tumor cells.

Elemene increases SPP expression by competitively binding with miR‐130a‐5p to suppress SPP mRNA degradation. This led to more antigen/MHC‐I complexes being expressed on the cell surface, which consequently facilitated the recognition and killing of HCC cells by CTLs and enhancing the antitumor immune efficacy of anti‐PD‐1.

Cryopreserved lung‐humanized mice overcome the dependency to fresh tissues and permit head‐to‐head profiling of all four human common cold coronaviruses versus SARS‐CoV‐2 infection; the model validates Paxlovid efficacy against HKU1 and, when coupled with human immune‐system engraftment, enables interrogation of lung‐resident human immunity and HKU1 ...

Osteosarcoma is the most common primary bone tumor with limited treatment options and a terrible prognosis. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the recent development of osteoimmunomodulatory implants for post‐operative osteosarcoma treatment, of which the potential utility in evoking durable anti‐osteosarcoma immunity and accelerating bone

Correlations in the T Cell Response to Altered Peptide Ligands
The vertebrate immune system is a wonder of modern evolution. Occasionally, however, correlations within the immune system lead to inappropriate recruitment of preexisting T cells against novel viral diseases.

METTL5 Enables Immune Evasion of Liver Cancer via Chemokine mRNA Translation Regulation
METTL5 reshapes the tumor immune microenvironment through ribosome 18S rRNA m6A modification to regulate the translation of chemokine mRNA. Targeting METTL5‐mediated immunosuppression unleashes anti‐tumor immunity and improves the efficacy of anti‐PD‐1 therapy.
