C082 | T-CELL RECEPTOR-VΒ REPERTOIRE FLOW CYTOMETRY ANALYSIS SHOWED ABSOLUTE CONCORDANCE WITH MOLECULAR ANALYSIS OF TCR GENE REARRANGEMENT IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF T-CELL LYMPHOPROLIFERATIVE DISORDER: OBSERVATIONAL STUDY FROM A SINGLE CENTER EXPERIENCE.

open access: yesHaematologica
Background: Clonality assessment is critical to differentiate between reactive and pathological T- cell lymphocytosis, and it usually relies on molecular analysis of T-Cell Receptor (TCR) gene rearrangement, which is considered the gold standard assay ...

Bacterial Outer Membrane Vesicles in Potentiating Cancer Vaccines: Progress and Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 29, 22 May 2026.
Bacterial outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) have emerged as versatile platforms for cancer vaccine development owing to their intrinsic immunostimulatory properties and high engineering flexibility. This review summarizes OMV biology, immune mechanisms, and engineering strategies that enhance vaccine efficacy, discusses key translational challenges, and ...

Activated immune cells present a lung interstitial‐to‐airway/alveolar cross‐compartment sharing pattern in severe pneumonia

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
The interstitial‐to‐airway cross‐compartment sharing pattern of activated immune cells provides new insights for severe pneumonia. Macrophages could amplify local immune response by recruiting specific activated immune cells via CXCL10–CXCR3 signalling into airway, while other immune cells reside with limited inflammatory activity.

CD8 T Cell Sensing of Type I Interferon Impacts Anergy

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 56, Issue 5, May 2026.
Basal IFN‐I acts as a rheostat to fine‐tune CD8 T cell anergy. The presence of IFN‐I induces a less deep anergic state characterised by greater expansion, residual effector function and plasticity. This favours the accumulation of autoreactive T cells that retain the potential to break tolerance rather than undergoing deletion.

SYK Signalling in NLRP3 Inflammasome‐Mediated Response of Murine Microglia Activated by Immune Complexes Formed of Viral Proteins and Specific IgG

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 56, Issue 5, May 2026.
IC‐mediated inflammatory response—the NLRP3 inflammasome activation, cytokine secretion, and antigen presentation depend on SYK signalling pathways in primary murine microglia. ABSTRACT Viral infections might trigger systemic inflammatory responses characterised by inflammasome activation and cytokine release, driven by immune complex (IC) formation ...
