Forging Sustainable Carbon–Nitrogen Bonds from CO2 and NOx: Mechanistic Insights and Catalyst Design for Electrochemical CN Coupling

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 9, 14 May 2026.
Electrochemical CN coupling enables the direct conversion of CO2/CO and NOx into value‐added organonitrogen compounds under mild and sustainable conditions. Catalyst architecture governs the coactivation of carbon and nitrogen intermediates and their interfacial coupling, dictating reaction pathways, selectivity, and efficiency.

Study on the Multiple Efficacies of Vitamin C Serum in Anti‐Glycation, Anti‐Carbonylation, Antioxidation, and Anti‐Inflammation of Human Skin Based on In Vivo Tests

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Skin glycation, oxidation, carbonylation, and excessive inflammation are well‐recognized factors contributing to skin aging and pigmentation. Previous in vitro studies have confirmed vitamin C's antioxidant, anti‐glycation, and anti‐inflammatory properties, but its in vivo effects remain to be further verified.

Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Some New 1,3,4-Thiadiazole and 1,2,4-Triazole Compounds Having a D,L-Methionine Moiety

open access: yesMolecules, 2007
New 1,3,4-thiadiazole, 5a-e, and 1,2,4-triazolecompounds 6a-c, containing a D,L-methionine moiety were synthesized by intramolecular cyclization of 1,4-disubstituted thiosemicarbazides 4a-e in acid and alkaline media, respectively.

Trigonal-bipyramidal vs. octahedral coordination in indium(III) complexes with potentially S,N,S‐tridentate thiosemicarbazones [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Three bis‐chelates of indium(III) with (partially fluorinated) S,N,S‐tridentate thiosemicarbazones (H2L) were prepared and their structures were studied in solution and in the solid state by NMR, ESI MS and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.

Dietary essential oils modulate post‐mortem oxidative damage in trout fillets exposed to slaughter stress during frozen storage

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 6, Page 3686-3695, April 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Slaughter is a critical phase in aquaculture that can severely compromise both animal welfare and product quality. Stress responses triggered during this stage may accelerate post‐mortem biochemical degradation and promote oxidative damage in fish fillets. Essential oils, known for their antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory properties,
