Role of Serum and Urine Biomarkers (PLA2R and THSD7A) in Diagnosis, Monitoring and Prognostication of Primary Membranous Glomerulonephritis

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2020
Differentiating primary and secondary membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN) using biomarkers for MGN is essential in patients’ diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. Although biopsy has been the primary tool in making the diagnosis, not all patients can

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 8, Page 1963-1985, August 2026.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Bioadhesive Hydrogel With Polyphenol‐Armored Nanogene Rejuvenates Chondrocyte Senescence for Aged Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 46, 17 August 2026.
An adhesive hydrogel depot with polyphenol‐armored nanogenes is developed for treating aged osteoarthritis. This system maintains miR‐140 bioactivity, prolongs its intra‐articular retention, and enhances transfection into chondrocytes, leading to the downregulation of senescence‐associated pathways.

Renal IGFBP6 Interacts With THBS1 to Drive Renal Cellular Senescence and Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 46, 17 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Epithelial dedifferentiation and myofibroblast activation are critical drivers of chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression. Elevated levels of IGFBP6 have been linked to decreased renal function in CKD patients, but its precise role and underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

Diagnostic value of PLA2R, THSD7A and IgG subtypes in idiopathic membranous nephropathy

open access: yesLinchuang shenzangbing zazhi, 2020
Objective To investigate the expression of serum anti-phospholipase A2 receptor(PLA2 R) antibody, glomerular PLA2 R, type 1 platelet reactive protein 7 A domain(THSD7 A) and IgG subtype in patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy(IMN) and their ...

ADAMTS4 mediates LPS‐induced cardiac injury and myocardial fibrosis through proteolytic cleavage of TSP1

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
• ADAMTS4 is induced primarily in cardiac fibroblasts during sepsis. • ADAMTS4 cleaves TSP1 at the 236–246 aa functional region. • TSP1 cleavage activates TGF‐β/Smad and NF‐κB signalling in fibroblasts. • Targeting ADAMTS4 reduces fibroblast activation and cardiac fibrosis.

Thrombospondin-4, an extracellular matrix protein expressed in the developing and adult nervous system promotes neurite outgrowth [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Extracellular matrix (ECM) molecules are involved in multiple aspects of cell-to-cell signaling during development and in the adult. In nervous system development, specific recognition processes, e.g., during axonal pathfinding and synaptogenesis involve

Shear‐Activated von Willebrand Factor Captures Extracellular Vesicles to Promote Platelet Activation and Metastasis

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2026.
Under shear flow, stretched vWF captures platelets and EVs, and TF‐positive EVs amplify platelet activation and aggregation. Although tumour cells do not bind vWF directly, the resulting microthrombi trap circulating tumour cells and promote metastatic progression.

Versican-thrombospondin-1 binding in vitro and colocalization in microfibrils induced by inflammation on vascular smooth muscle cells

open access: yes, 2006
We identified a specific interaction between two secreted proteins, thrombospondin-1 and versican, that is induced during a toll-like receptor-3-dependent inflammatory response in vascular smooth muscle cells.
