High-efficiency formation of influenza virus transfectants [PDF]
cDNA-derived RNAs were introduced into the genomes of influenza viruses by using an improved ribonucleoprotein (RNP) transfection protocol. Up to 10(5) viral transfectants with a novel neuraminidase gene could be obtained by using a 35-mm dish (10(6) cells) for RNP transfection.

Hydrazone-modulated peptides for efficient gene transfection [PDF]
The synthetic potential of dynamic bond formation is introduced for the delivery of plasmid DNA by modulated amphiphilic peptides. The synthetic advantage of these dynamic bonds allowed the identification of improved reagents (better efficiency and lower toxicity) for plasmid transfection assays in human HeLa cells.

Efficient transfection of primary zebrafish fibroblasts by nucleofection [PDF]
Although various gene delivery techniques are available, their application in zebrafish cell cultures has not been extensively studied. Here, we report that nucleofection of zebrafish primary embryonic fibroblasts results in higher transfection efficiency in comparison to other non-viral gene delivery methods. The transfection was performed using green

Exploitation of De Novo Helper-Lipids for Effective Gene Delivery.
Purpose: In gene delivery, a fusogenic lipid such as dioleyl phosphatidylethanolamine (DOPE) which is a component of cationic liposomal vector is important factor for effective transfection efficiency. We investigated the effect of penetration enhancers

Electroporation for the efficient transfection of mammalian cells with DNA [PDF]
A simple and reproducible procedure for the introduction of DNA into mammalian cells by electroporation is described. The parameters involving the cells, the DNA, and the electric field are investigated. The procedure has been applied to a broad range of animal cells.
