Efficient Transfection of siRNA by Peptide Dendrimer–Lipid Conjugates [PDF]
AbstractEfficient delivery of small interfering RNA (siRNA) into cells is the basis of target‐gene‐specific silencing and, ultimately, gene therapy. However, current transfection reagents are relatively inefficient, and very few studies provide the sort of systematic understanding based on structure–activity relationships that would provide rationales ...

Continuous monitoring of cell transfection efficiency with micropatterned substrates
AbstractThe effect of cell–cell contact on gene transfection is mainly unknown. Usually, transfection is carried out in batch cell cultures without control over cellular interactions, and efficiency analysis relies on complex and expensive protocols commonly involving flow cytometry as the final analytical step.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Use of Primary and Secondary Polyvinylamines for Efficient Gene Transfection [PDF]
Gene transfection with polymeric carrier remains a challenge; particularly, high transfection levels combined with low toxicity are hard to achieve. We herein revisit polyvinylamines, an old and neglected family of cationic polymers. They can be readily obtained by controlled hydrolysis of polyvinylamides prepared through (controlled) radical ...
