Ligand-Binding Sites in Vanilloid-Subtype TRP Channels
Vanilloid-subfamily TRP channels TRPV1-6 play important roles in various physiological processes and are implicated in numerous human diseases. Advances in structural biology, particularly the “resolution revolution” in cryo-EM, have led to breakthroughs

TRPV channels as temperature sensors [PDF]
The past year has seen a doubling in the number of heat-sensitive ion channels to six, and four of these channels are from the TRPV family. These channels characteristically have Q(10) values of >10 above the thermal threshold, very different from the Q(10) values of 1.5-2.0 seen in most ion channels.

Evaluating methods and protocols of ferritin-based magnetogenetics
Summary: FeRIC (Ferritin iron Redistribution to Ion Channels) is a magnetogenetic technique that uses radiofrequency (RF) alternating magnetic fields to activate the transient receptor potential channels, TRPV1 and TRPV4, coupled to cellular ferritins ...

Pan-Cancer Analysis Reveals Genomic and Clinical Characteristics of TRPV Channel-Related Genes
BackgroundTransient Receptor Potential channels (TRPs), a class of ion channels, were first described two decades ago. Many TRP family members are major participants in nociception and integration of heat and pain signals.

Role of Known Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid Channels in Modulating Cardiac Mechanobiology
The transient receptor potential (TRP) channels have been described in almost every mammalian cell type. Several members of the Vanilloid (TRPV) subtype have been found to play important roles in modulating cardiac structure and function through Ca2 ...

A novel ion channel formed by interaction of TRPML3 with TRPV5. [PDF]
TRPML3 and TRPV5 are members of the mucolipin (TRPML) and TRPV subfamilies of transient receptor potential (TRP) cation channels. Based on sequence similarities of the pore forming regions and on structure-function evidence, we hypothesized that the pore
