tsRNA: A Promising Biomarker in Breast Cancer

open access: yesJournal of Cancer
tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) are a novel class of non-coding small RNAs, generated from specific cleavage sites of tRNA or pre-tRNA. tsRNAs can directly participate in RNA silencing, transcription, translation, and other processes. Their dysregulation is closely related to the occurrence and development of various cancers.

tRNA‐Derived Small RNAs in Digestive Cancers: From Translational Regulation to Immune and Extracellular Communication

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
tRNA‐derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) function in digestive cancers across three scales: intracellular translational and metabolic control, extracellular vesicle–mediated immune remodeling, and systemic and host–microbe communication. This review organizes these mechanisms by evidence strength, from well‐established intracellular roles to emerging ...

Research progress on the tsRNA classification, function, and application in gynecological malignant tumors

open access: yesCell Death Discovery, 2021
A large number of small non-coding RNAs derived from tRNAs, called tRNA-derived small RNA (tsRNAs), have been identified by high-throughput RNA sequencing of cell lines. Further research has revealed that they are not produced via random tRNA degradation,

A Specific tRNA Half, 3'tiRNA‐GlyGCC, Regulates Hypoxic Pulmonary Artery Smooth Muscle Cell Proliferation via Myrf‐Mediated Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
A schematic diagram illustrating how 3′tiRNA‐GlyGCC promotes the endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) and proliferation in hypoxic pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) by inhibiting the expression of myelin regulatory factor (Myrf), ultimately leading to pulmonary hypertension (PH).

Differential expression profiles and bioinformatics analysis of tRNA-derived small RNAs in epicardial fat of patients with atrial fibrillation

open access: yesHeliyon
The exact processes underlying atrial fibrillation (AF) are still unclear. It has been suggested that epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) may contribute to arrhythmias and can release various bioactive molecules, including exosomes containing tRNA-derived ...

Understanding tsRNAs: From classification to disease mechanisms

open access: yesiScience
tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNA molecules generated through the cleavage of tRNA, primarily categorized into tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs) and tRNA-derived stress-induced small RNAs (tiRNAs). tsRNAs have been shown to play diverse roles in essential biological processes, such as gene expression regulation, cellular stress
