A New Fluorinated Tyrosinase Inhibitor from a Chemically Engineered Essential Oil [PDF]
The generation of fluorinated essential oils as a source of bioactive compounds is described. Most of the components of the natural mixtures were altered, leading to the discovery of a new fluorinated tyrosinase ...

Antamanide Analogs as Potential Inhibitors of Tyrosinase
The tyrosinase enzyme, which catalyzes the hydroxylation of monophenols and the oxidation of o-diphenols, is typically involved in the synthesis of the dark product melanin starting from the amino acid tyrosine. Contributing to the browning of plant and fruit tissues and to the hyperpigmentation of the skin, leading to melasma or age spots, the ...

Rhododendrol glycosides as stereospecific tyrosinase inhibitors [PDF]
Rhododendrol derivatives 3-12 have been synthesized in six steps, including aldol condensation and/or trichloroacetimidate glycosylation as the key reactions. Each derivative showed effective inhibition of tyrosinase-catalyzed oxidation processes. In particular, a series of synthetic derivatives having an R-stereogenic center at C-2 proved to be more ...

Novel tyrosinase inhibitory peptide with free radical scavenging ability
Tyrosinase is a key enzyme involved in melanin synthesis. Therefore, various tyrosinase inhibitors have been screened by researchers in recent years. In the present study, we discovered a novel tyrosinase inhibitor, a peptide ECGYF (named EF-5), with ...

Tyrosinase inhibitors as melanoma sensitizers: Boosting therapeutic efficacy
Melanoma therapy faces critical challenges due to melanin-mediated resistance mechanisms. The use of tyrosinase inhibitors to suppress tyrosinase activity and reduce melanogenesis, thereby sensitizing melanoma cells, represents a highly promising ...

New saccharin derivatives as tyrosinase inhibitors
A newly series of 6-(phenylurenyl/thiourenyl) saccharin (6a-y) derivatives were synthesized and their inhibitory effects on the diphenolase activity of banana tyrosinase were evaluated. A 70-fold purification of the enzyme with 6.85% yield was achieved by using a Sepharose 4B-l-tyrosine-p-amino benzoic acid affinity column.
