Unfolded protein response suppresses CEBPA by induction of calreticulin in acute myeloid leukaemia
The unfolded protein response (UPR) is triggered by the accumulation of misfolded proteins within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The role of the UPR during leukemogenesis is unknown so far.

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

Role of unfolded protein response in lipogenesis
The signal transduction network in regulating lipid metabolism is a hot topic of biomedical research. Recent research endeavors reveal that intracellular stress signaling from a cellular organelle called endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is critically involved in lipid homeostasis and the development of metabolic disease.

Cardioprotection by the mitochondrial unfolded protein response (UPRmt) requires ATF5.
The mitochondrial unfolded protein response (UPRmt) is a cytoprotective signaling pathway triggered by mitochondrial dysfunction. UPRmt activation up-regulates chaperones, proteases, antioxidants, and glycolysis at the gene level to restore proteostasis ...

Mechanozyme: An Artificial Enzyme With a Mechanophore Framework
Mechanical destabilization of a G‐quadruplex mechanophore in a DNAzyme markedly boosts its catalytic activity, demonstrating “mechanozymes” as artificial enzymes whose functions are modulated by mechanical stress exerted by ultrasonication. This mechanozyme principle is broadly applicable to control biomolecular activities.

Mechanically Triggered DNA Nanovehicles for Targeted Dual‐Drug Cancer Therapy
A mechanically triggered DNA nanovehicle is introduced that co‐releases two anticancer drugs in response to integrin‐mediated cellular forces. Cholesterol‐anchored DNA assemblies undergo force‐induced unfolding at cell–cell junctions, enabling selective, localized dual‐drug activation in cancer cells while minimizing off‐target toxicity in low‐tension ...
