Expression of WFDC2 in SKOV3 cells silences clonal lines. (A) Western blot analysis of expression of WFDC2 and GAPDH in SKOV3 cells. Normalized WFDC2 protein levels in the shRNA-transfected (SKOV3-309, SKOV3-209), mock-transfected SKOV3-NA and control SKOV3 cells.

Proteomic analysis of quail calcified eggshell matrix: a comparison to chicken and turkey eggshell proteomes [PDF]
Background: Eggshell mineralization in commercially important species such as chicken, turkey or quail is of interest as a general model of calcium carbonate biomineralization.

Expression of WFDC2 in WFDC2 knockdown Clonal Lines. (A) Western blot analysis of expression of WFDC2 and GAPDH in SKOV3 cells. Normalized WFDC2 protein levels in the shRNA-transfectant, mock-transfectant NA and control. The relative quantities of WFDC2 protein were determined by densitometry and normalized by using GAPDH. *P < 0.05 compared to mock-

In this study, we used Foxp3‐fatemapping mice to examine the cell lineage stability of Treg cells in pregnancy. Ex‐Foxp3 cells were identified in gestational tissues. However, Treg cells retained lineage stability with no increased ex‐Foxp3 generation, regardless of inflammatory challenges that induce preterm birth.

Abstract BACKGROUND Depressive symptoms are common in cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease (AD), but their underlying pathology remains poorly understood. We aimed to investigate the pathophysiology of depressive symptoms in the context of AD. METHODS Individuals with normal cognition (NC), mild cognitive impairment (MCI), or mild AD dementia from

Epidermal sampling of lesional, perilesional and non‐lesional skin from psoriasis and eczema patients as well as healthy skin was used to perform an in depth proteomic analysis. IL‐36γ known to be expressed in lesional psoriasis skin was outperformed by the protease inhibitor Elafin as a disease‐specific epidermal biomarker.

ABSTRACT Ovarian cancer (OC) is a deadly disease and lacks a precise marker for diagnosis worldwide. Our previous work has shown the overexpression of flotillin‐1 (FLOT1) in OC tissue. To improve diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy, we evaluated the serum level of FLOT1 in OC patients and found that the serum concentration of FLOT1 as well as CA125 was

Global proteomic analysis of prenylated proteins in Plasmodium falciparum using an alkyne-modified isoprenoid analogue [PDF]
Severe malaria due to Plasmodium falciparum infection remains a serious threat to health worldwide and new therapeutic targets are highly desirable. Small molecule inhibitors of prenyl transferases, enzymes that catalyze the post-translational isoprenyl ...
